McCann Erickson Manchester’s digital development director Gavin Forth has left the business after only two months.

The agency admitted that Forth has departed from the company but has stated that the decision was "mutual".

Forth joined McCann Manchester in September from Orange UK where he was head of entertainment.

A spokesperson for McCann Erickson, said: “We can confirm that Gavin Forth has left the agency by mutual consent but as a matter of company policy we do not discuss personnel matters in the wider public domain so have no further comment to add.”

It is understood that there are no immediate plans to replace Forth as the agency wishes to review the remit of role, but that it is actively seeking to hire a senior executive to add to its digital division.

Sue Little, chief executive of McCann Manchester, added: “Building our digital offering is at the forefront of our strategy for 2009 and we are looking to build the senior team in this area of the business. We wish Gavin all the best for the future.”
