The Daily Record has launched RecordCashback.co.uk, a new site which allows online shoppers to make money from their purchases on the web.

To use the service, users log on to the site before visiting hundreds of retailers and service providers including Currys, Play.com, and Asda, where they can earn up to 15 percent cashback every time they make a purchase.

Cashback shopping is a form of affiliate marketing, a market which grew by 45 percent in the UK last year, with sales exceeding £3bn in 2007.

The launch is being significantly supported across all the Daily Record’s platforms including an 8-page supplement and integration into dailyrecord.co.uk.

Mark Hollinshead, managing director nationals, Trinity Mirror, said: "This is a fantastic service for the Record’s readership as it offers cashback on all online shopping purchases made via the site.

“Moreover it also offers our advertisers a powerful additional marketing channel to reach our growing audience."

The site is powered by V A C Media.
