Eleanor Cowie and Stuart Forsyth have joined The University of Glasgow's media relations team.

Cowie joins from agency Weber Shandwick, while Forsyth makes the move from the BIG Partnership. Both were account managers with their agencies and have now been appointed as University media relations officers.

Former young journalist of the year, Cowie enjoyed a high-profile journalism career, with stints at The Sunday Times, Scotland On Sunday, The Age in Melbourne and, most recently, The Herald, where she spent four years.

Prior to his appointment at BIG, Stuart was an senior account executive with Beattie Media where he joined after two years as a sub-editor at the Herald.

Susan Stewart, University of Glasgow director of corporate communications, said: “The reputation of the University of Glasgow has grown substantially in the past few years and we feel confident that Eleanor and Stuart will help us continue enhancing our international reputation further.”
