Manchester United signs three year sponsorship deal with Hublot
Manchester United has signed a new sponsorship deal with Swiss watch manufacturers Hublot.
The three year sponsorship deal is understood to be worth £4million and will see the watch brand replace the club’s current financial sponsor AIG following its effective nationalization last month when it received a $85billion loan from the US central bank.
The brand will feature around Old Trafford stadium.
David Gill, chief executive of Manchester United, said: “We are in difficult economic times, but this deal shows that there are still deals to be done.
“It’s not to say that football is not going to be impacted by that. But if you can combine the strength of a brand like Manchester United and a company like Hublot then you have got a wonderful combination.”
