Following a five-way pitch, Tangent Graphic has been appointed to create a year-long campaign highlighting the range of events coming to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) throughout 2009.

The new identity features a ‘What’s On’ guide and associated touchpoints, and has just been launched nationwide across print, digital and large format.

As Scotland’s national venue, the SECC plays host to high profile concerts, exhibitions and conferences and has played a part in Glasgow’s international reputation for over 25 years. The addition of the “Armadillo” auditorium in 1997 has contributed in making the venue an iconic landmark worldwide.

Tangent’s brief was to create a visual identity establishing the SECC as one of the biggest and most exciting venues for going-out in Scotland, while specifically driving ticket and gift voucher sales.

Steven Waldron of Tangent said, “We really wanted to produce something that reflected the energy and the eclectic mix of acts that the SECC offers, while giving the seasonal campaign real stand-out. Working in close consultation with the marketing department, we have created a strong brand identity and look forward to a successful partnership with the venue.”
