Former MyTravel manager Julie Graves has joined Lancashire-based holiday provider Cruise118 as head of marketing.

Graves, who has 10 years' experience in marketing and consumer brand development, will manage the cruise retail business's advertising, PR and online marketing strategies.

At MyTravel, Graves developed and managed the marketing strategy for its Cruise Store brand.

Among her first tasks in her new role has been to oversee Cruise118's television advertising campaign and develop the company's consumer website with its online team.

Graves, who is based at the company's headquarters in Chorley, said: "This is an exciting opportunity to play an integral role in the launch and development of an ambitious new travel business.

“I’ve been impressed by the calibre of the team at Cruise118 and am looking forward to working closely with them to create a successful new travel brand.”

Cruise118 was launched in the summer by former MyTravel directors Mal Barritt and James Cole after Rochdale-based MyTravel merged with Thomas Cook.

Cole said: "Julie has a proven track record of launching and building successful consumer brands and we are confident that having her onboard will help us achieve our aim of quickly establishing Cruise118 as a leading player in the travel industry.”
