Following the announcement last week of the winner of CBS Outdoor’s creative challenge, the company has chosen to expand the competition, setting up the Scottish winners against their London rivals.

The winner of the competition was Merle for its Wiseman Dairies bus adverts, with Giles Moffat being presented the first prize of a free campaign for Wiseman worth up to £50,000.

In second place was Family for its client Toymaster who received a 50% discount on a bus advertising campaign, while in third place was The Union for the Scottish Government’s Organ Donation campaign. This received a 35% discount on bus advertising from CBS Outdoor.

As a result of the success the company has chosen to take challenge the shortlisted agencies to enter the London creative challenge which will begin in December.

This will see eight agencies, over a period of four months come up with four creative’s, two for T-sides and two for Supersides.

The creative work will go live on 100 buses in London (25 T-sides for two designs and 25 Supersides for two designs) over a two week period.

One winner will then be selected from each agency to enter the Grand Prix at the end of the four month period and will face and industry and public vote to decide the one winner.

The Scottish agencies will face a slightly different challenge thought, with Frame, Family The Union and Merle sharing one period with 25 buses each.

They will each be allocated a format of either a T-Side of a Superside that they must design for. Only one Scottish agency will be selected for the Grand Prix having faced the vote.
