Forth Independent Newspapers (FIN), the independent newspaper publisher, has promoted Lesley McComiskey as its advertising sales director as the group gets ready to launch a new title into the Greater Glasgow area.

She joined FIN in May from News International where she had worked for seven years as classified advertising manager for the Scottish Sun and The Sunday Times (Scotland).

McComiskey has also worked in classified advertising with the Daily Record, Sunday Mail, The Herald and the Evening Times.

She will now head the sales operation for FIN’s portfolio of titles – The Wee County News, the East Kilbride Mail, the Allanwater News and the Eastside News.

The group, which has two operating centres in Alloa and East Kilbride, is also poised to launch a new title in the Greater Glasgow area at the end of this month.

McComiskey said: “I’m thrilled to join such a fast growing newspaper group in this exciting new role, which will allow me to work across the group's expanding portfolio, developing further classified advertising and other revenue streams.”
