Bookmaker William Hill has launched experiential activity drumming up banter between Scottish football fans.

The 'Wanna Bet...?' campaign, exclusive to Scotland, encourages football fans to express their opinions on the beautiful game and challenges them to put their money where their mouths are, in the same way their mates down the pub might do.

A key part of the work is the 'Banter Booth' which, according to Brahm, aims to capture the 'excitement and passion' of real fans in the build up to their big matches. In exchange for their opinions, William Hill ambassadors will give away free bets and football coupons to help drive footfall to the nearest William Hill shop.

Initial activity has taken place in Glasgow city centre focusing on the Rangers Celtic Old Firm match and the 'Banter Booth' will now be touring Scotland throughout the 08/09 football season. Footage of the events will be broadcast in Scottish William Hill branches and online at www.banterbooth.com.

William Hill's David Cooper said: “The first Banter Booth event in Glasgow has had fantastic impact and become a real talking point amongst Scottish football fans. We look forward to getting more fans involved in Banter Booth events throughout the current season.”

Robin Horsfield, managing partner at Brahm, added: “We hope the innovative Banter Booth project will be just the start of our relationship with William Hill and look forward to providing excellent insight for future campaigns."
