Manchester advertising and design agency Lake has supplied the makers of eighties-themed BBC1 drama Ashes to Ashes with retro Keep Britain Tidy posters to feature in its next series.

As part of its long-standing relationship with Keep Britain Tidy, Lake has produced a set of vintage posters featuring Kenny Everett (pictured), Roland Rat and the Wombles that will appear in street scenes in next year's new series.

Barry Glinister, managing director of Lake, said: “We’ve been working with the Keep Britain Tidy campaign for seven years and our latest work follows the seventies-style posters we did for them that featured in Life on Mars.

“We had to painstakingly render original eighties social awareness posters and then add our creative touch to give them an authentic feel.”

The hit show, made by Kudos Film and Television in association with Monastic Productions, is the follow up to seventies-set cop drama Life on Mars.
