First in Manchester appoints Citypress
Citypress has been appointed PR advisor to First in Manchester, the bus operator that carries around 100 million passengers each year in Greater Manchester.
The Manchester-based PR agency will work alongside First's marketing and communications team from the middle of October to promote bus travel, the benefits of its investment in new vehicles and to support its media relations activity.
First in Manchester operates 900 buses and is investing £35m over the next two years in adding 200 new double deck vehicles to its fleet. The business is part of FirstGroup plc, the global transport company.
Citypress's appointment follows more recent wins for the agency in the travel and transport sectors, after landing accounts with Shearings and Cross Country Trains.
