Five By Five, the Southampton-based digital agency has launched an office inLondon, having poached Nicholas Gill from OgilvyOne as the agency restructures to broaden its client offer.

Gill, previously business partner at OgilvyOne Worldwide, will now act as digital planner for Five by Five. He was previously responsible for Unilever’s global digital account at OgilvyOne.

Other appointments include Iain Trundle, previously at Moore Wilson, who joins as account director for web development projects, Nicola Cooper, who previously worked client side at the AA, as senior account manager and Emma Holden, who joins as account manager. All of the appointments follow a run of new business wins for the agency including Activision, Britvic, New Look, Gerber Juice and Sun International.

Five By Five has also undergone a re-structuring process which has seen it launch two new spin-off divisions: Ace of Swords and Five by Five Response.

Ace of Swords has been created as a digital media agency uniquely specialising in the gaming industry. Five by Five Response has been created as a rapid turnaround agency offering email marketing.

Steve Sponder, managing director of Five By Five, said: “First class people are essential to us and we are delighted to welcome our new colleagues to our 50 plus team. Five By Five is not only changing rapidly as a company but we also work in a very fast moving landscape where agencies must understand all the challenges facing brands in order to deliver profitable marketing solutions. We aim to deliver communications that stand out in the crowd, and to achieve this we are always evolving in a flexible and strategic way. So, it’s natural for us to back our instincts, supported by a heritage of innovation and client understanding, and spin off these ventures from the main agency as a continuation of our entrepreneurial spirit.”
