Scotch Whisky distiller Whyte and Mackay has appointed the Cello Group's marketing business, Tangible, to handle two upcoming projects.

The agency will oversee the activation campaign for Whyte and Mackay's Premier League Darts Championship sponsorship in 2009 and it will also handle the firm's Christmas 2008 campaign for its spiced liqueur, Glayva.

Tangible won a two-way pitch against incumbent Platinum One to handle the firm's darts sponsorship, and will be responsible for through the line activity including on and off-trade marketing throughout the event programme starting next January.

The agency's task for Glayva, after being appointed without a pitch, is to promote the brand to a younger audience in Scotland and across the US.

Claire Kinloch, partner at Tangible said: “Whyte and Mackay have an impressive portfolio of brands and we are absolutely delighted to be working with their team.”

Tangible will also work closely with the Whyte and Mackay's other agencies, including PR firm DADA.
