Republic appoints AWA following three way pitch
Fashion retailer Republic has appointed digital agency AWA following a competitive pitch against two unnamed agencies.
The agency has been tasked with increasing sales and email sign-ups for Republic's online store, in the crucial three-month run-up to Christmas. AWA Media will devise and deliver a full online media campaign with AWA developing all associated creative.
Caroline Johnston, brand marketing manager at Republic, said: “The AWA team delivered a very focused response which combined attention-grabbing creative and strong online media recommendations.”
Launched in May 2007, Republic's e-commerce site showcases menswear and womenswear branded fashion from a portfolio that includes G-Star, Bench and Henley's.
Alasdair Wightman, managing director at AWA, said: “Republic is a growing retailer with a passionate management team and is truly making its mark on the physical and virtual high street.
“The brief was very challenging, but absolutely played to our strengths as a digital agency with the ability to deliver both creative and media solutions in-house.”
