Halewood International Limited has reacted to a report issued by the Portman Group on 22 August about its packaging of Red Square Reloaded by immediately emending the problem.

As reported here online by The Drum,The Portman Group issued a statement and press release highlighting that the packaging of Red Square Reloaded did not satisfactorily demonstrate the product's alcohol content.

As a result, The Portman Group would ask all retailers not to stock the product, which is why the company has moved quickly to ensure the problem has been corrected in advance on the 15 November deadline which was issued.

Having heard the complaint, John Halewood, chief executive of Halewood International, said; "The pack design for the Reloaded brand has already been updated to take account of the complaint, and today's announcement is simply a case of the Portman Group's processes catching up with the work we have already undertaken. Because we have already made the amends, retailers can continue to order this product from us with absolute confidence that the compliant product will be available to them ahead of the deadline set by the Portman Group."

He continued; "As signatories to the Portman Group's code of practice we have worked closely with the Group to ensure we have addressed the issues raised and the fact we already have new and compliant packaging entering the supply chain demonstrates the good working relationship we enjoy with the Group."
