Aberdeen-based integrated communications company, Fifth Ring has announced its acquisition of Ken Sturgeon Marketing Ltd, a specialised online marketing company.

The acquisition will bring three new employees to the company increasing staff numbers to 82.

Fifth Ring has had a busy period, launching its Houston office in August giving it a presence in Aberdeen, Dubai, Houston and Inverness.

The addition of three new members of staff to Fifth Ring will allow the digital media team to offer a range of web design, development, digital and internet marketing services.

This acquisition will strengthen and expand our digital offering enabling us to tackle online and offline marketing and communications activity in a truly integrated manner.

“This investment brings Fifth Ring to another level and our clients will benefit from this new offering through all our business units including design, brand & strategy, advertising and PR. We also plan to capitalise on Ken’s expertise for our other offices in Dubai, Houston and Inverness.”

Ken Sturgeon, digital media business unit manager, said: “This acquisition allows us to take the online marketing services and add extra value through Fifth Ring’s integrated offering. I am looking forward to the future being part of an international integrated communications company.”
