Iris Manchester has recently appointed five new recruits to the creative team of the agency having recently brought in new briefs from brands such as Wonderbra, Hertz and Lego.

Ben Kaberry joins iris from Inferno London where he held a senior creative role. Since joining Inferno in 2001, he has worked across a range of household brands including Honda, Budweiser, Havana Club, Visa and Hiscox. Kaberry, who began his career at TBWA London in 1999, recently won a Bronze at the One Show and Gold at The Creative Circle for work on the Honda business.

Matt Baker and Terry O’Neil join from TBWA Manchester as a middleweight team. In their three years at TBWA, the pair produced campaigns for Crown, Nissan and Wickes’ sponsorship of the Football League, and their work for Original Source’s new Men’s range will launch later in the year. An award winning duo, their potato-printed ‘Shop Green’ campaign for The Co-operative picked up three awards at this year’s Roses.

Meanwhile, Phil Cassin also joins as head of production from JWT Manchester. Cassin has nearly 20 years experience, spending the last 10 years with Cheetham Bell and then CBJWT.

Finally, Antony Ruggiero joins as a designer. Ruggiero relocates from the iris London office where he worked on Network Rail, Department of Health, adidas and Sony Ericsson.

Pete Armstrong, creative director of iris Manchester, said; “Good people from good agencies want to come and work for us, they hear good things about the atmosphere here. Our culture is distinctly different from many agencies and that’s no idle boast. We didn’t finish 7th in a Sunday Times Best Companies to Work for survey for nothing. The nearest agency to us, BBH, came in at 77th. So I guess we must be doing something right.”
