E4.com and the Golden Joystick Awards have announced E4.com Grand Master Flash Award which will, this year, challenge web-based flash game developers to submit their unbranded games to www.e4.com/joystick.

Whether you are an enthusiastic back-bedroom coder or an undiscovered games genius creating games for a new media agency, you can enter. However, you cannot submit work from a previous professional commission.

The deadline is Sept 15th and after this, a panel of judges will decide on a shortlist of 10 games, which can be played online at www.e4.com/joystick.

The overall winner will receive a £5,000 commission from E4.com and the inaugural E4.com Grand Master Flash Award at the Golden Joystick Awards in October.

In its 26th year, the Golden Joystick Awards are the people’s gaming awards voted for exclusively by gamers.

Jody Smith, Editor E4.com, said: “The games we commission for e4.com always go down a storm, so we thought we'd turn the tables and celebrate the genius of game-making talent in agencies by giving them a place to showcase their unbranded games, as well as some killer prizes.”

The new Grand Master Flash Award category is a new talent initiative as part of the broadcaster’s ‘Generation Next’ month in August.
