Castle MacLellan is revamping its line of branded pâtés to reflect the company’s premium positioning and rich heritage. The new packaging, created by Pointsize Wolffe and Co in Castle Douglas, will see a far stronger emphasis on ingredients.

Senior product manager Kate Winterton said: “Castle MacLellan has been producing premium pâté for years, and the new packaging reflects the high quality of our products. It focuses on the ingredients used in our pâtés, as we are increasingly finding customers are interested in the provenance and heritage of their food, and this matches our ethos of using locally sourced products wherever possible.”

The seven-strong range includes Rannoch smoked duck with Bramley apple jelly, Oven roasted mushroom pate with garlic and thyme and Chicken liver with Scottish heather honey.

Castle MacLellan now produces more than 100 different recipes. In addition to the branded line, the company also supplies a number of well-known retailers including Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Marks and Spencer.
