Consumer agency Brazen has been appointed to promote one of the oldest cheeses in the UK, Cheshire Cheese, following a non-competitive pitch.

Brazen take over from incumbent agency Wild Card and will focus on both national exposure and on raising awareness in the North West heartland and will encompass recipes, newsmaking, events and sampling for the brand.

Brazen have also managed the PR for Blue Stilton cheese since 2003 - recently creating a media stir at Royal Ascot with a one metre wide Stilton hat – and also created National Cheese on Toast Day for Lancashire Cheese.

Brazen Co-founder and Director Emma Beck said: “Cheshire Cheese is one of our region’s best known products and we’re thrilled to be working with such an amazing brand.”

Brazen is also celebrating two other account wins this week.

Xantium, the UK’s first carbon zero apartment building to meet ‘Code 6’ - the highest possible rating in the new government system to measure the sustainability of new homes - will be built in Manchester’s Northern Quarter by Moylan Homes. Brazen has been appointed by builders Moylan Homes to raise awareness of the development both regionally and nationally.

CineBingo have also appointed Brazen to launch their inaugural in-cinema bingo experience in the UK. Set in a cinema environment, CineBingo transforms the bingo experience through the big cinema screen with electronic consoles that players use to play the game and also features a live host. CineBingo will launch at the Odeon cinema at the Trafford Centre in September 2008.
