Glen Dimplex moves PR to Lucre
Glen Dimplex Home Appliances has switched its PR account from Willoughby to Lucre, following a four-way pitch.
The firm, which owns brands such as Belling, Stoves, New World and Lec, made the decision after concluding a four-way pitch. The move ends its four-year relationship with Birmingham-based Willoughby, which recently underwent a management structure that saw founder Julia Willoughby become CEO and Jane Ainsworth taking over as managing director.
The account will now be handled by the Leeds office of Lucre, which will work on a payment-by-results methodology. Key tasks will be to promote awareness of the brands’ cooking and refrigeration product ranges, as well as accessories and appliances. The campaign will involve high profile news-generating platforms, as well as partnerships with the Women’s Institute, British Army and a soon to be unveiled celebrity chef.
Further product launches are also scheduled to take place later in the year.
