Following more than three months of voting, a high profile panel of judges met last week to identify the 100 names to make the list for The Drum’s Power 100 list that looks to identify the most influential people in the Scottish media and marketing indu

The seven-strong panel of judges included, Malcolm Roughead, marketing director of Visitscotland; Chris Dempsey, head of communications and customer services at Registers of Scotland; Guy Robertson, managing director of GRP and head of the IPA in Scotland; Richard Marsham, managing partner of The Leith Agency; Chris Wallace, communications director at Scottish Water; Angela Casey, managing director of Porter Novelli PR; and Mark Gorman, chair of the Scottish Marketing Association and director of Think Hard.

With over 300 names nominated via an online poll, the judges were tasked with selecting the final list, deciding on three main criteria – influence, achievement and profile.

This included areas of budget and creative control, awards, product and campaign launches and overall business success, as well as the individuals profile in the media and how they are viewed by their peers.

The list will be online soon and readers are urged to cast their votes to decide the order in which the final Power 100 list will appear in the magazine.
