Harrogate-based agency Magnitude has created a new website for restaurant chain Wagamama.

Wagamama’s operations in Europe, the Middle East, United States, Australia and New Zealand will each be able to customise their own section of the main website with relevant local content. This will also filter through to individual regional restaurants, which will feature more strongly now on their country’s website, to give the brand a local focus.

The project culminated in a training conference in Zurich, hosted by Magnitude for Wagamama staff, who travelled from around the world to be introduced to the marketing tools the new website incorporates.

Magnitude managing director, Tony Humphreys, said: “Producing a website that can be easily used across different languages and cultural boundaries is a complicated brief, particularly as the site needed to retain the user-friendly style and interactivity people expect from Wagamama.

“Our strong relationship with the client has allowed us to become a core part of its marketing team and develop a brand that works online and offline, ensuring that the digital marketing function can expand and develop with the business.”

Harrogate-based Magnitude recently won two Webby awards for its work on the chain’s online marketing, which will be presented next month at a ceremony in New York.
