Edinburgh-based designers, Nevis has been commissioned to develop the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh brand.

The agency has been tasked to put in place a set of style guidelines by September. The commission follows from a phase one brand strategy programme that was undertaken by Arc Worldwide throughout 2007.

RBGE is currently fundraising for a major £14m development.

The Gateway – Scotland’s National Biodiversity Centre – is scheduled to open in the summer of 2009. This will be an example of green construction and sustainability and will offer visitors facilities where they can discover the world of plants and the scientific work of the Botanics through a set of interactive experiences and activities.
