Scotsman Publications is linking up with the National Galleries of Scotland for a series of media partnerships, to raise the profile of major art exhibitions coming to the capital this summer.

The Scotsman will partner Impressionism and Scotland, the major festival show at the National Gallery Complex from 19 July to 12 October and The Vanity Fair Portraits exhibition at the Portrait Gallery from 14 June to 21 September.

Scotland on Sunday will partner Foto, a modernist photography exhibition at the Dean Gallery from 7 June to 31 August and Tracey Emin, at the Modern Art Gallery from 2 August to 9 November.

Both newspapers will offer free prints for readers for the exhibitions involved as part of the deal, which will also include advertising spend from the galleries, promotional activity and branding at the galleries for each newspaper.

Ross Wilson, head of marketing at the National Galleries of Scotland, said: “We are delighted to be working with Scotsman Publications once again. We have partnered on various successful exhibitions in recent years including the record breaking Ron Mueck show which was visited by 128,000 people and last summer’s award-winning Andy Warhol blockbuster. We look forward to building on this success with this summer’s varied and exciting programme.”
