The Daily Record has scooped the top award for the second year as Scotland's Newspaper of the Year

The Daily Record has been named the Scottish Newspaper of the Year for the second year running by The Scottish Press Awards.

Last night, the paper also picked up the gong for Front Page of the Year for its Fadiator, James McFadden/Gladiator picture on the day of the must win, Scotland home tie against Italy.

The paper’s long time agony aunt, Joan Burnie also received a lifetime achievement award.
