Guerilla has been appointed by Newham Primary Care Trust to help the organisation reduce smoking prevalence throughout the borough.
The campaign will target White British, Eastern European and Bangladeshi smokers as these groups are considered hard to reach audiences. Smoking rates among these groups are above both local and national smoking averages.
Sophie Newton, new business development director at Guerilla, said: “Working with more hard to reach audiences is a new challenge and I am looking forward to developing a strategy in line with the research.”
The Newham PCT win represents Guerilla securing its third social marketing cessation campaign in six months. The Newcastle-based agency had previously completed campaigns for Nottingham PCT and Derbyshire County PCT.
