Basestation, the Edinburgh-based creative consultancy, is to design a new identity for the Scottish national ski team.

Set on a bold blue background and using white ski lines to form part of the Saltier representing Scotland. The new contemporary logo will follow the team throughout the world and will be visible on all team equipment, training suites and transportation.

This is not the first sporting project for Basestation. Recently they became a sponsor of Olympian skier Noel Baxter. As part of the sponsorship package, Basestation designed the first official website for the skiing champion, allowing fans to follow the career of Noel Baxter. The site has been designed to reflect the fast moving pace of the winter sport and to capture the personality of a skiing champion.

Ian Moran, director of Basestation, said;“I was delighted to be asked to design a logo which would form the brand of the Scottish ski team. Taking into consideration the national colours and emblems which symbolise Scotland to a worldwide audience, Basestation have created a logo which clearly represents Scotland in this highly competitive sport.

“As an individual I have a very keen interest in the sport and I am happy to be supporting the national ski team and Noel Baxter through their careers. “
