Online firm Civic has appointed the agency’s Greig Tosh as its new managing director following the departure of Graham Jones in December.

Tosh, a co-founder of Civic, was previously director of the agency and has taken over as managing director with immediate effect.

Commenting on the appointment, Fraser Syme, chairman of Civic, said: “The board was unanimous in its decision to appoint Greig as managing director. He takes the helm at an exciting time for the agency which, in the past six months, has seen the launch of our Glasgow office and the appointment of Arvind Salwan and Stewart Kirkpatrick.”

Sam Miller has also recently been promoted to head of client services while Manos Riglis has been appointed as development director.”

Jones left Civic having been at the agency for six years, as he was “keen to pursue other interests and opportunities within the marketplace.”

It is unknown what Jones’ next move is as yet. However, Syme added: “Civic would not be where it is today without Graham’s considerable input and steady hand. We all wish him every success with his new ventures.”

Roger Goldie, now chief marketing manager at The Scottish Government, also left Civic recently to take up the new role.
