RLA Group brings in senior staff following £9.5million acquisition

The RLA Group has announced senior staff appointments following its acquisition by AIM-listed marketing group The Mission, a deal worth up to £20million.

George Martino will become RLA’s first dedicated new business director, taking up his new role from this month having joined from Golley Slater.

Chris Wright, formerly of Interpublic’s Initiative Media, joined the senior management team this month as group planning director, while Michael Finn, founder of DFGW, and Julian Spooner, formerly Guinness marketing chief and head of Media Audits Group, are on-board as non executive director and chairman respectively.

Des Brown, former marketing director of BT Ireland, was also recruited, taking up a position as board account director of RLA Northern Ireland.

RLA, was acquired for an initial consideration of £9.5million at the end of 2007.
