Last month the judging for the Chip Shop Awards 2005 was held at Leith London’s offices.

Agencies were invited to create a campaign for any client or any product with an unlimited amount of media and marketing spend. The sheer diversity of creative work was revealed to our select judging panel that included: Trevor Beattie of Beattie McGuinness Bungay; Fiona Curran and Richard Murray from Williams Murray Hamm; Rob Turner of TBWA\\London; Tom Wnek a freelance creative and Mairi Clark of The Drum.

The judges were impressed by the high standard of work showcased during the one day judging session. Trevor Beattie in fact was so taken with Rick Kiesewetter’s Need a Copywriter work that he phoned Kiesewetter from the judging room to offer him a job at his newly launched agency.

So, did the rest of the judges feel as strongly about the Need a Copywriter ad, or did Dulay Seymour’s Kit Kat campaign in the same category pip him at the post? Only time will tell.

Now, Adline previews just some of the nominated work on this page in full glory. For a full list of the nominations, log on to the Chip Shop Awards 2005 website at www.chipshopawards.com
