Scottish Courage has appointed Proctor and Gamble marketing director for France, Tim Seager, as its UK marketing director.

Seager will join the Edinburgh-based company at the start of next year and will also have overall responsibility for the newly acquired HP Bulmer Cider stable and the flagship brand, Strongbow.

Seager’s imminent arrival follows the appointment of Andy Neal as consumer marketing director and Neal will now report to Seager.

Meanwhile, the brewer is set to move out of its headquarters near Fountainbridge in Edinburgh in November.

All 200 staff in the building will relocate to the company’s Broadway Park office at South Gyle on the city’s western outskirts.

It has been estimated that the vacated 46,000 sq ft building on the edge of central Edinburgh could be worth up to £12m.
