Leith and Stand pitch in Newcastle

The Leith Agency and Glasgow-based design consultancy Stand have pitched jointly for the Newcastle Gateshead Initiative’s creative account.

The initiative is the destination marketing agency for the North Eastern area of England and was behind the unsuccessful bid to become European Capital of Culture 2008, a title that went to Liverpool.

Other advertising agencies understood to be involved in the advertising pitch include Robson Brown, Different and Cravens, all of which are based in Newcastle.

Pitches are believed to have taken place last week and a decision is due imminently.
