Media House has been hired by the Duke of Buccleuch to handle PR surrounding the theft of Leonardo da Vinci’s Madonna with the Yarnwinder from his Drumlanrig Castle.

The agency, headed by Jack Irvine, will handle all press conferences and media enquiries for the Duke.

The account will overseen by Ramsay Smith, Media House’s executive director, who will be based in offices on the Duke of Buccleuch estate.

The painting, which was stolen last week, is thought to be worth between £30m and £60m.
