A spokesman for Speakeasy Productions has denied that a takeover deal with Waterside Television in Edinburgh is imminent.

Speculation has suggested in recent weeks that Speakeasy, which has been operating from its headquarters near Perth for ten years, was in talks with Waterside with regard to taking control of its commercial production and corporate production arms.

A spokesman for Speakeasy said: “It is no secret that we have spoken to Waterside and it is no secret that we are looking to expand. That said, we spoke to Picardy some months ago. Nothing is happening with Waterside.”
