Leith London has won the account to launch Maureen, the Independent Radio News’ directory enquiry service.

The agency won the business, claimed to be worth around £5m, in a three-way pitch against Eardrum and Heavenly.

The media will also be handled by Leith as Maureen looks to compete against rival directory numbers following the closure of 192.

Leith will launch three radio ads using the voice of the art critic Brian Sewell, which will run for the next year. The ads will hope to cut through consumer confusion by explaining what the service does and how much it costs.
