Sexy food: an ad created by Talented for the SECC

Tim Maguire, co-founder of communications consultancy Talented, has announced that he has left the company in order to return to a career in producing and directing television commercials.

Maguire, who founded the agency nearly three years ago with partner Ian Dommett, had previously worked on many high-profile commercials, which included HEBS for The Bridge, Scottish Executive for Faulds and Direct Holidays for 1576. Maguire has also worked for agencies including Wieden & Kennedy, BMP, Faulds and 1576 and clients including Coca-Cola, Prada and Sega.

Commenting on Maguire’s decision to leave the company, Dommett said: “The decision was entirely amicable. He just wanted to go back to his first love, which is producing and directing.

“We have just taken on Amanda Boyd, who will be our PR partner, and have moved offices.

“We are currently recruiting for new staff on both the PR side and advertising and will no doubt be working with Tim in the future on projects.”
