About the role
We are currently going through a digital and creative rejuvenation strategy being led by our new Global SVP of Marketing, to which this role will report directly into, and will have the ability to help shape, build and maintain the creative vision for the Smiley Company.

The Marketing Department is a central hub of the Smiley business and has both a trade and consumer facing function, and the person in this role will help lead the creative direction for the Smiley Company across traditional asset creation of brand guidelines and marketing collateral, but will be an expert in social and digital creative concepting and design.

We are looking for a creative leader to steer and inspire a small but dedicated team of creatives leading them with impeccable taste, be on top of cultural, design and fashion industry design references to inform the work produced across all design touchpoints in the business, and ensure we constantly evolve our visual language and storytelling ability through creative design to engage key audiences (Gen-Z and Millennials).
Key Responsibilities:
Creation of Smiley marketing and brand collateral according to the companys brand guidelines and legal guidance. This includes artworking, preparing graphic assets for presentations, creating mock-ups, designing co-branded assets, and B2B print material.
Design Company Brand Documents including brand books, sales decks, case studies, flyers, quarterly newsletters
Design Social Media & other digital assets, including GIFs, videos, etc
Concepting brand campaigns for social and digital
Design Trade Marketing collateral including ads, flyers, POS, etc
Edit and update video content for website, marketing and commercial content
Design & maintenance of Brand Guidelines across our various brands, including logo design, legal requirements and packaging & POS
Supporting the marketing team in working with cross-functional category teams to create on-trend design solutions for product packaging & POS.
Present graphic ideas and project details with clarity in team meetings, as required
Present designs to category teams, clients and stakeholders using sketches and design software; ensuring successful representation of clients brands
Design Store VM and pop up shops seasonally
Creation of retail interior concepts and developing both a generic and bespoke POP and POS designs and concepts for prestigious retail activations
Ideal Candidate:
BA Graphic Design or equivalent
8-10 years of experience in Graphic Design and Brand campaign creation
The ideal candidate will be from a fashion brand, multiband fashion and beauty retailer or fashion and lifestyle agency background
An exceptional and extensive portfolio of work showing relevant skills as outlined in this job spec
Fundamental to this role is an understanding of social and digital design to capture both Gen-z and Millennial audiences attention.
Proficient in Adobe Suite is essential (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop etc.)
A team player with a positive outlook and energy for evolving world class design and creative.
Experience working with film/video content teams is essential to help ensure creative aligns across all areas of content production
An understanding of 3D rendering is a bonus (any 3D simulation software, such as C4D, 3Ds Max)
Exceptional attention to detail and creative thinking
Ability to work with tight deadlines when required
Strong concepting skills
Experienced in managing multiple workflows and projects
Naturally curious and on top of cultural, design and fashion trends
Strong team leadership
Proven exceptional taste levels through strong portfolio of work
A natural story-teller through design
Detail oriented with a strong understanding of typography and layout principles
