Consultants are the central force of our business. They drive work across the whole team in a way that makes the most of everyones skills and experience, supporting and coaching less experienced colleagues, as well as deputising for Directors and Partners when required.
For this particular role, we are looking for someone with the ambition to provide digital expertise support to clients and teams across the business, and who wants to contribute to our overall digital offer. We expect our digital specialists to work in a fully integrated way with the rest of the team - being an expert on digital channels while understanding how a mix of earned, owned and paid channels work together in the round. The role requires intellectual curiosity, creativity, entrepreneurialism and resourcefulness.
What the role involves
Developing integrated communications strategies
Drawing on a deep knowledge of audiences and channels to identify how best to position clients and achieve their communications goals.
Knowing what success looks like when it comes to using paid and owned channels to reach and influence niche audiences (eg: investors, business journalists, C-Suite executives, etc)
Understanding how owned and paid channels work alongside earned media in support of the clients overall goals
Developing engaging and high quality content ideas for a mix of channels - from audience and channel analysis, to copywriting for assets.
Supporting the creation of complex, integrated communications plans by providing digital expertise
Mapping audience networks and understanding the sphere of influence and how to activate and engage audiences
Having enthusiasm and flexibility for learning and pioneering new methodologies and techniques
Project management across a small number of clients, and support to the wider team
Setting clear goals and priorities on projects, and holding everyone, including themselves, to account for meeting them.
Collaborating with colleagues to develop and deliver digitally-led projects.
Giving our clients the right advice, even if it isnt what they want to hear, and finding a solution that works for them
Overseeing the work of more junior team members, helping them increase their digital literacy and knowledge of paid and owned channels.
Contributing to the future of the business beyond the boundaries of client work
Liaising with clients and advising client teams on how to creatively expand and evolve the scope of work to incorporate digital communications
Joining new business conversations to provide digital expertise and inspiration to future clients
Sharing your insights and experience across client teams in a way that allows them to replicate your success
Giving (and receiving!) thoughtful, constructive feedback at all levels in the firm.
Supporting the wellbeing of everyone on the team and contributing to an inclusive work environment.
What were looking for
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Proven experience developing digital communications strategies that use the most impactful mix of owned, earned and paid media;
The ability to develop relationships with clients and offer them strategic counsel and insight;
A strategic approach to reputation advisory work and communications, rooted in research, data and insight
Intellectual curiosity to explore new subjects and desire to share that knowledge with the team;
Experience of project management, including planning and delivering work against agreed goals, timetable and budget;
Experience managing a team and delegating both upwards and downwards in a way that makes the most of everyones skills and experience;
A highly motivated team member who values collaboration and is interested in coaching and building capability across the team;
Commitment to contributing to a supportive and inclusive culture;
A desire to seek out feedback in order to learn and develop.
3+ years of professional experience in a similar role.
