Job Description
We are looking for a user-experience (UX) designer to work on some of our larger scaled platform projects. They require the ability to understand business requirements and any technical limitations, as well as be responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, workshops, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes. The UX designer will also be expected to design the overall functionality in order to ensure a great user experience, building upon an existing platform and adapting to meet business and user needs
Responsibilities
• Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes
• Facilitate the client’s vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing
• Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
• Identify problems and devise solutions by asking the right questions
• Ability to take an existing platform and adapt to meet client needs
• Have a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Requirements
• Three or more years of UX design experience
• Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, XD, Axure, InVision a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus
• Experience working with an LMS (preferably Moodle but not a mandatory)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet their needs and vision with experience of running workshops to understand these requirements
• Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
• A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns
• Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients
