Digital copywriters should understand their audience and engage them through persuasive and accurate writing, answering key questions/needs they need resolved. As a digital copywriter you will digest a library of client content in order to produce engaging web, app and social content that drives action and sales. Your job will be to inform and engage users and motivate them to do something, such as buy a product or service. You will also be writing copy designed to convey valuable information about a brand, industry or issue.
To work in conjunction with planners, account handlers or through formal brainstorming sessions to assist in the generation of agency creative briefs.
Research and understand their client’s business, brands and marketing objectives.
Be part of the digital team, working with digital creative, user experience and technical partners to provide the right copy for the right task and context
Tailor the content and style of individual writing assignments according to their purpose
Understand the target audience
Identify key messages
Analyse content metrics
Help define a process for developing content for clients like templates, collaboration and managing feedback
Take ownership of the copy requirements for projects
Work with creative teams to ensure that the visual elements complement the words.
Write for web, apps, games, digital signage, emails/messaging, SEO and social
Able to present creative outputs, digest and respond to client/internal feedback.
To manage the quality of output of all elements in relation to copy such as research, fact-checking, editing, proof-reading, ensuring client copy amendments do not disrupt copy-flow and the conceptual integrity of the communication.
To become actively involved in assisting other teams within the creative department on tight deadlines as required.
Assist with business pitches to win new clients or projects.
Maintains a high standard of communication and continually liaise with all parties concerned (internal & external) to facilitate the smooth progression of projects

Proven experience at a Digital Copywriter level in a digital agency in the advertising industry and/or multidisciplinary advertising agencies.
Understand how to implement digital copywriting principals and how they differ from traditional copywriting approach
Proven digital copywriting and presentation experience across leading brands.
General knowledge of creative disciplines.
Expertise in digital marketing tactics, including email marketing SEO best practices, content and social media marketing.
Proven self motivation and project management.
Clear understanding of commercial and environment factors affecting creative and delivery of creative work.
Demonstrates ‘passion’ – approaches all tasks in a wholehearted and enthusiastic manger.
Shows initiative and a ‘can-do’ attitude.
Highly motivated and a self-starter.
Recognises the need for management support when necessary.
