Our client is a leading Manchester creative agency. With a bias to the sports and music sectors they are skilled in brand development, advertising, events, brand activation and experiential. As part of their ongoing growth programme, they are looking to hire a PR Account Director to join the agency. This is an exciting role and will suit a charismatic and experienced PR Account Director who has a huge (little) black book of media contacts across the national media and specialist sports and music press. PR is a growth area for the agency so this is a terrific opportunity for someone to be involved in the growth and development of the PR team within the agency. Of course, that's not something that happens overnight but if you're a bit jaded working within a PR agency or in-house and you'd love the opportunity to work in a genuinely collaborative creative agency where they are working with some amazing brands then it could be for you. As PR Account Director you will be the PR specialist within the agency and it is anticipated that you will grow a small team around you. However, in the short to medium term you'll need to be an all-rounder who is hands on and who can have impact on successful campaigns very quickly. The agency isn't short on ideas and creative planning, however, they lack the understanding of PR and implementing PR campaigns. You will have the ability to adapt their creative ideas to ones that will appeal to your media contacts and to maximise coverage and awareness. We're happy to consider PRs from agency or in-house backgrounds but you must be passionate about brands, have amazing media contacts and ideally have a love of sport. This isn't a pre-requisite, it just means you'll love working there a little bit more! You'll be skilled across all aspects of PR and will have sound digital PR awareness too.
