World Creative Rankings: which are the most creative countries in the world?
The World Creative Rankings is our annual study of the brands, agencies and people behind the world’s very best creative work. In this instalment, we reveal the countries the most award-winning work came from.
The US and the UK retained their dominance in this year's World Creative Rankings
Each year, The Drum’s research team analyzes the data from all of the advertising industry’s major awards schemes to find out which companies created the most award-winning work in the previous calendar year.
This year, that meant examining 1,768 campaigns from 1,295 clients working with 964 agencies composed of 387 chief creative officers, 483 executive creative directors, 1,319 creative directors, 1,061 copywriters and 1,222 art directors. Our final category of the rankings shows which countries were the most creatively active in the last year.
This year’s report found that, once again, the US and UK led league rankings, reflecting their dominant roles in adland. In line with the performance of agencies such as Dentsu Tokyo and Scholz & Friends, Germany and Japan follow, with Sweden and the UAE ranked alongside major economies France, Canada, Brazil and Australia to fill out the top 10.
