Olé: advert-body-2 by Young & Rubicam Argentina
- Location:
The only sports newspaper, Olé, is honoring its basketball prodigal son.
Manu Ginóbili retired from the San Antonio Spurs at the end of last season, and the team will likely soon retire his iconic number 20 to the rafters.
Olé did its own version of that. On the day of the first Spurs game of the season, and the first one without Ginóbili on its roster since 2002, the newspaper left its 20th page blank, in honor of the Argentinian.
Ginóbili won an Olympic gold medal for his country in 2004, so it's only fitting his home local newspaper to pay tribute.
Olé, in partnership with Young & Rubicam Argentina, also released a video the accomplishments of Ginóbili and showing the blank, commemorative page hanging from the rafters.
