Pip & Nut have launched its first advertising brand and product campaign with creative partner Who Wot Why, to raise awareness of the brand and their range of nut butters.

In the ‘Superfans’ campaign, Pip & Nut-obsessed squirrels bring to life the social posts from equally Pip & Nut obsessed fans. The real squirrels, together with the fans’ authentic testimonials, present the ultimate nut butter lovers.

Rather than resorting to the advertising norm of creating CGI characters, red squirrels that live in the Swedish woodlands take a starring role. Pip & Nut and Who Wot Why collaborated with squirrel photographer and filmmaker Geert Weggen to capture the creatures in their natural habitat. Geert lives amongst these creatures in the Swedish forest and engages them with seeds, nuts and peanut butter.

‘The Superfans’ campaign runs on OOH sites in London supported by national digital and social media, with both moving and static imagery. A mini-documentary ‘The Squirrel Whisperer’ tells the story of the highly specialised squirrel lover who lives amongst the creatures in the forest.
