As resources on Earth become increasingly scarce, humanity will be forced to turn to space to find the precious metals it needs – and mining asteroids, near-Earth objects and minor planets will become the norm.

Directed by Chris Palmer, the film shows an asteroid miner onboard his ship in the conditions we are likely to find up there. While deep space travel will be the greatest adventure humanity has ever faced, just like the early missions to the poles, Everest and the moon, early adventurers are likely to faced cramped, dangerous and uncertain conditions.

Featured in the film is the Deep Sleep Cocoon – a jacket built for the first journeys to Mars. The sleeping conditions we take for granted on Earth, like quiet and darkness, are far from guaranteed in space. So Vollebak designed a jacket that provides a self-contained microhabitat for sleeping.
