Through November and December many Americans experience tension during holiday travel. Maybe you have children, maybe you’re stuck in the middle seat and maybe (although likely) you have flight delays.

A new experience from Uber Comfort recognizes that sometimes traveling is uncomfortable, but your Uber ride doesn’t have to be. Through Friday, January 3, Uber will open the Comfort Club at Terminal 2 in Chicago O’Hare Airport.

The space will be open for economy travelers to relax and unwind before their trips. Travelers will receive Comfort Kits complete with an eye mask, fuzzy travel socks and ear plugs, as well as a promo code for Uber Comfort rides. In addition to providing a relaxing space, the club will showcase key features of Uber Comfort, such as spaces to chat, spaces to choose quiet with noise cancelling headphones, complimentary warm and cool beverages, and more. Everything about this experience, and its design leads back to the product itself - Uber Comfort.

The activation is supported by a film, directed by Tool of North America’s Hal Kirkland, which takes place in a plane filled with travelers who are happy to be flying, knowing that their Uber ride will provide them with a little extra comfort once they land and head to their final destination. In the spot, we see middle seaters tolerating overcrowding, sneezing neighbors, unexpected air blasts, flickering reading lights and chatty travelers they happened to find themselves sitting between. The spot further instills the messaging behind Uber Comfort, which is that it allows anyone to travel however they want.

The design of the experiential space in Chicago’s O’Hare Airport brings Uber Comfort to life through comfortable decor that instills a sense of relaxation as well as elements that mimic various features such as temperature control, conversation preference and extra leg room.
