Cineworld has once again partnered with award winning creative agency Twelve to develop their latest campaign, titled ‘Unlimited: The Journey of a Lifetime’.

Following on from last year’s campaign featuring Johnny Flynn, this year’s creative takes the world of Unlimited possibilities one step further with inspiration from the iconic 1993 comedy Groundhog Day. The campaign highlights the familiar repetitive routines and patterns that consumers can fall into; working, eating, sleeping and shows how you can escape them with a Cineworld ‘Unlimited’ card.

Working in collaboration with award winning production house, Pink Banana Studios, the cyclical and fast-paced advert was produced in the style of a movie trailer, featuring an orchestral cover version of Sonny and Cher’s ‘I Got You Babe’, with vocals from Sarah Howells, formerly one half of the Welsh folk / indie brand Paper Aeroplanes. The advert follows the life of main character Phil Connors (played by rising star and namesake, Phil Dunster; Murder on the Orient Express, Catastrophe), who lives a repetitive, mundane life, until Cineworld Unlimited presents him with a eureka moment, mirroring Bill Murray’s own turning point, where he comes to appreciate the possibilities of everyday life.
