Duke Health has been consistently ranked among the top Academic Medical Systems in the US, but the credit for why often goes to the newest technologies and breakthrough treatments--a strategy that most hospital systems default to. Yet there's something far more extraordinary underlying why Duke Health is able to push healthcare to the edge of what is considered possible.

Duke Health wanted to turn the attention to the people who have made it all possible, the ones who deserve appreciation. Highlighting the people who come to work every day to serve and care for patients – sacrificing and putting themselves in some of the most challenging situations to discover new ways to treat and master new ways to detect. Because, at the end of the day, it’s the patient that’s at the heart of everything they do.
