Burns and Smiles Mathéo by TBWA\Paris

Each year, there are 400,000 burn victims in France, of whom 10,000 are considered by medicine as severe.

Once out of a health care pathway often long and painful, burn victims must face the gaze of others and an outside world who is easily reluctant to help them get back to the normal course of their lives. Their condition, widely misunderstood, further reinforces their sense of isolation.

To change our way to look at burn victims is the aim of this new TBWA\Paris campaign, fruit of a lasting collaboration with the association Burns and Smiles. Through a new film directed by Bertrand Degove and Fabrice Gobert, this campaign features teenagers in a story... of teenagers. But can a teenager suffering from severe burns live a "normal" life?

Created under the impetus of Laurent Gaudens, victim of an accident at the age of 4 and suffering of severe burns himself, the association Burns and Smiles aims to help burn victims to resocialize through several essential missions:

- Animation of a powerful community of mutual aid to burns victims.

- Organization of events, real accelerators to rebuild in groups with professionals of health, personal development and beauty care,

- Management of an "emergency aid fund".
